Whether you like her or not, Gillard is still our Prime Minister and deserves respect
The highest public office in our country, that of Prime Minister seems to have lost the luster it once had. It’s role has been delegated from one of prestige to simply signify the leader of the party in power.
I could be wrong here, but I rarely heard Kevin Rudd addressed as “Kevin” in public, or John Howard addressed as “John” in a similar matter.
Whether you like her policies, her visions for the future or her ability to lead the country, at the end of the day, Julia Gillard is our Prime Minister and deserves to be treated with the respect that office demands.
If you don’t like her, then vote for someone else. But in the meantime, call her Prime Minister.
